Ronaldo Furious Over Vanity Fair Cover
Gentleman cover your eyes; ladies pick your jaws up off the floor. In case you missed it, soccer superstars Cristiano Ronaldo and Didier Drogba recently graced the cover of Vanity Fair magazine in the lead up to World Cup 2010. The June issue which features the two stripped down to near nothing has created buzz around the world.
The craziest part of the story is that supposedly Ronaldo is fuming over the situation, not because he is featured nearly naked on the front of a hugely popular magazine, but because Vanity Fair photoshopped him to look like he was standing, smiling next to one of his biggest rivals. Ronaldo was photographed by Annie Leibovitz in Madrid, while Drogba was photographed in Milan, but magically the two came together for the money shot on the front cover. While Ronaldo and Drogba’s domestic rivalry (think Manchester United vs. Chelsea) has been put on hold due to Ronaldo’s move to Real Madrid, their paths will once again meet as Portugal face Ivory Coast June 15th in each countries opening match.
According to a source, “Ronaldo is freaking out. He says he wants to sue Vanity Fair for using his image to promote the issue everywhere.”
